Brunching at Hoi Polloi

Who doesn’t love a good brunch?

At Hoi Polloi you will not be disappointed, having been there a few times now I think its safe to say its one of my favourite places to brunch. Located on Shoreditch High Street and joined onto the Ace Hotel you walk through a florist and into an escape from the busy London streets. The music is chilled (if you’re lucky you will get the chance to see the string quartet playing pop songs) and the lighting is low but not dark, perfect on a Sunday to nurse the hangover from the night before!

First off…Drinks! I’m a coffee lover and the flat white is delicious, though I will say it could have been a little bit hotter. They have a great selection of pressed juices, so I also went for the Sunshine Juice which consisted of Pineapple, ginger, mint, coconut water and reverse osmosis H2O it is also Anti-inflammatory, hydrating, skin purifying and a decongestant. A lot of promises for a juice but it was delicious and refreshing. They also offer teas and shakes and a selection of your normal breakfast juices.

Next up.. food! If you ever decided to give this place a visit then you HAVE to try the pancakes! Thick, fluffy and topped with a blueberry compote and mascarpone, you will be in pancake heaven! As there was so much to choose from on the menu we decided to get some to share…

I went for the Eggs Florentine, a brunch classic and a favourite of mine, the eggs were perfectly runny and the hollandaise was delicious…

My Friend that I was with had the Avocado, Chilli and Poached Eggs on toast…

The tea pots are also pretty cool…

The lovely thing about going here is that you are never rushed and the staff are very accommodating. If you book, they call to check if your party have any allergies and also have gluten free options. I would recommend booking as it can get quite busy, especially on weekends and you don’t want to be disappointed. Ive also been as a large group of 10 and it was no trouble.

Take someone as a treat or even to treat yourself!
